Eligibility Requirements
To apply, students must:

Be a second-year dental hygiene student

Have a main residence in Northwest Lower Michigan within these counties:
Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, Otsego, Roscommon, Wexford -
Show economic need

What You’ll Submit
Required Application Materials:

Essay describing your commitment to your professional association

Letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your program
Additional documentation may be requested to support economic need.

Purpose
Northland’s scholarship is intended to help offset expenses associated with board examinations.
Timing note
Northland’s 2nd Year Dental Hygiene Scholarship information is sent to all Michigan dental hygiene program advisors in late November.
