Dear Senator,

As a Michigan dental professional, I respectfully ask for your support of legislation that allows fulfilled professional licensing sanctions to be removed or appropriately resolved once all disciplinary requirements have been successfully completed.

Public protection must always remain the priority. However, when a licensee has fully complied with every requirement established by the licensing board, demonstrated accountability, and remains in good standing, they should have the opportunity to move forward professionally.

This legislation does not weaken professional standards or eliminate disciplinary oversight. Instead, it recognizes rehabilitation, encourages compliance, and helps retain qualified healthcare professionals while maintaining public trust and patient safety.
